“There ain't no rules around here.
We're trying to accomplish something.”
Thomas Edison
Certain quotes inspire me more than
others and this is one of them.
Thomas Edison had 1903 patents to his
name. That is 1903 ideas or things that didn't exist before he took the time to
write them down! He failed many times in the process, but he has been reported
to say that he didn't fail he just founds ways that didn't work.
How about you? Do you have ideas? It's
time for innovation, creative thinking and throwing away the limitations put on
us by "the way things have always been done" or "the economy is
bad, you can't do that."
What can you create today? What is it
you've always wanted to do? What are you passionate about? What can you do to
create a product, a service, a job?
Write it down, get brave, think in
terms of what it will feel like when it's a reality. Close your eyes and really
see the end results. Don't worry about HOW you are going to do it, just feel
the way it will feel when it's DONE.
I encourage all of you MPTC students to
share your ideas and take advantage of everything Moraine Park has to offer.
From the many great clubs or professional organizations such as DECA or Skills
USA. Involving yourself with the school activities provides students with not
only creating great memories and friends, but something to put on a resume as
well!
Let's do something today, in the words
of Thomas Edison..."we're trying to accomplish something."
